Use Screenshot Redactor

What it does

Cover names, e-mail addresses, wallet addresses, balances and codes on a screenshot before you send it to a bank, a forum or an abuse desk. Everything happens on a canvas in your browser.

It runs entirely in your browser: nothing you enter is uploaded.

Example

A fake wallet support ticket

Input
example-ticket.png
Output (captured 2026-10-20)
Black box at 140, 88 (330 × 30) Remove
Black box at 140, 138 (540 × 30) Remove

Load example draws a demo ticket (an e-mail address, a wallet address, a balance and the scammer’s message) and covers the e-mail and the wallet address with solid black boxes; Download redacted PNG saves the result.

FAQ

Is the screenshot uploaded anywhere?

No. The image is opened, edited and saved inside your browser with a canvas. The page makes no network request with it, and the downloaded PNG is created on your device.

Black box or pixelation?

Use solid black for text: pixelated or blurred text can sometimes be recovered by trying candidate texts until the pixels match. Pixelation is fine for photos and faces, where there is no small set of possible values to guess.

Does the saved file keep the original metadata?

No. The redacted image is a new PNG drawn from the canvas pixels, so EXIF data such as the camera, the date or GPS position of the original file is not carried over. Check the image once more before you share it.
