Recovery scam
A recovery scam targets people who already lost money, promising to get it back (as lawyers, hackers or "blockchain investigators") in exchange for upfront fees.
How it works
Scammers find victims in comments and complaint forums, or buy victim lists from the original fraud. They show fake case files and ask for fees, wallet connections or seed phrases.
No private service can reverse a blockchain transaction; genuine help comes from law enforcement and exchanges.

How to protect yourself
- Never pay upfront for fund recovery or share wallet access with a recovery service.
- Report the original theft to the police and to the exchanges that received the funds.
