Overview

caser.best presented itself as the official site of КЕЙСЕР (CASER), a case-opening platform. Its Russian-language title promised the "best drop and upgrade" and claimed to be the official site. We classify it as an impersonation phishing page aimed at Russian-speaking players who might mistake it for the genuine platform. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-05. It went offline on 2026-09-11, and its DNS was still inactive at our last check on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Copycat case-opening sites rely on players who search for a brand name and land on a lookalike domain with the same branding and the same "official site" wording. The bait is the brand's own pitch of lucrative drops and item upgrades. That pitch steers visitors toward the actions that matter to the operator: signing in, linking a gaming account, or adding funds. Anything entered goes to the impersonator rather than to CASER. Victims typically lose their account credentials, the inventory tied to that account, or the money they deposit.

Evidence

Six of 90 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-06: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is a modest count, but it comes from several unrelated vendors. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL under the spam category. It also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which shows other researchers tracked it independently.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-05-06 through Fewmoretaps OU, trading as Trustname.com, roughly four months before we detected it. The site was hosted on the Omegatech LTD network in Great Britain. Once caught, it lasted only six days before going dark.

What to do

If you signed in on caser.best, change your password at once and enable two-factor authentication on that account and any account that shares the password. Check for unfamiliar logins, trade offers or linked devices, and end every active session. If you deposited money, contact your payment provider quickly to dispute the charge. Do not send further payments to anyone promising to restore balances or items. Defenders should block the domain and watch for new lookalikes that pair the CASER name with Russian "official site" wording.
