How the scam works
The page title, "Linen Tablecloth | LinenTablecloth", frames the site as a single-category boutique. That narrow focus makes a storefront look credible to someone searching for one specific item. Shops of this kind typically advertise steep discounts and collect card or payment details at checkout. The buyer then receives nothing, a cheap item that does not match the listing, or a stream of excuses about shipping until refund windows close. The victim loses the purchase money, and often the card details and home address typed into the checkout form as well.
Evidence
Nine of 92 VirusTotal engines flag the domain as of 2026-10-17. They include alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue and Netcraft, a mix of independent URL-reputation and antivirus vendors. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and specifically tagged the page as a fake shop, which matches our classification. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers are tracking it too.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-05-06, about five months before we detected it. That gap leaves room for a site to run ads and take orders before reputation services catch up. It is hosted on a network belonging to Malakmadze Web LLC, registered in Georgia, while the server IP geolocates to the US. The free Let's Encrypt certificate only means the connection is encrypted. The padlock says nothing about whether the shop is legitimate.
What to do
If you paid on this site, contact your bank or card issuer now, report the charge as fraud and ask for a chargeback. Watch your statements for further unauthorised transactions. If you entered card details, ask for a replacement card, and treat any later emails or calls about "your order" as possible phishing. Keep screenshots of the listing, the checkout and the confirmation messages to support your dispute.
