How the scam works
The page carries the VentraCore title and branding so visitors believe they are on a legitimate crypto service. urlscan.io tags it as a cryptoscam. Impersonation pages of this kind typically push the visitor to connect a wallet and approve transactions, type in a recovery phrase, or send funds as a deposit or activation step. Each path ends with the operators controlling the victim's assets, and blockchain transfers cannot be reversed once they are signed.
Evidence
Twelve of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-07, including Kaspersky, BitDefender, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, CRDF and alphaMountain.ai. These are independent vendors reaching the same conclusion. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict. The domain is also blocked by MetaMask and SEAL, which matters because MetaMask users get a warning before the page loads. It appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tracked it as well.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-09-22 through GLOBAL ASSET DOMAINS INC. and was caught only three days later. That short gap is typical of throwaway domains spun up for a single campaign. Its traffic runs through Cloudflare, with an address that geolocates to Canada. That front conceals where the real server sits. The Let's Encrypt certificate gives the site a padlock icon, which only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the site is honest.
What to do
Do not connect a wallet, enter a seed phrase or send any deposit on ventracore.top. If you connected a wallet, revoke every approval granted during that session with a token-approval checker. Move any remaining funds to a fresh wallet if you signed anything you did not fully understand. If you typed in a recovery phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and transfer its assets immediately. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and watch for lookalike VentraCore domains on other cheap TLDs.
