How the scam works
Sites like this copy the look of a real exchange so visitors believe they are trading on Metal X. urlscan.io tagged the page as both an investment scam and a crypto scam. That fits the usual pattern: the victim is pushed to deposit crypto into a fake account, the dashboard shows invented profits, and withdrawals are blocked behind extra "fees" or "verification" payments. Some versions also ask the user to log in or connect a wallet, which hands credentials or signing access to the operators. Money sent to these platforms goes straight to the scammers and is almost never recovered.
Evidence
Eleven of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain when it was checked on 2026-10-13. The flagging vendors include alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft and LevelBlue. That is a moderate count, but these are established vendors that reached the same verdict independently. urlscan.io rated the page malicious. Besides PhishDestroy, the domain appears on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists, which matters because MetaMask can warn wallet users before they interact with it. Four AlienVault OTX pulses also reference the domain.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-06-30 through GLOBAL ASSET DOMAINS INC., more than three months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests it was either prepared in advance or active for a while before anyone reported it. The site sits behind Cloudflare's network (shown with a Canada location), which masks the real origin server. Its certificate from Google Trust Services is standard for Cloudflare-fronted sites and says nothing about legitimacy.
What to do
If you deposited funds here, stop now and do not pay any "withdrawal fee" or "tax" the site demands, because those payments are part of the scam. Report the transaction hashes to the exchange or wallet provider you sent from and to local law enforcement. If you entered a password, change it everywhere you reused it and turn on app-based 2FA.
