How the scam works
Sites like this copy the look of a trading platform, then show the victim a dashboard where an initial deposit, usually in crypto, appears to grow quickly. The gains are fake numbers on a screen. When the victim tries to cash out, they are asked for more money, framed as taxes, "withdrawal fees" or account upgrades. Every payment goes straight to the operators and cannot be recovered on-chain. urlscan.io's tagging of the page as both an investment scam and a crypto scam matches this pattern.
Evidence
On 2026-10-13, 11 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky and LevelBlue. That count is modest, but it comes from several unrelated vendors. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict. Wallet-side defences already block it: the domain is listed by MetaMask and SEAL as well as PhishDestroy. Three AlienVault OTX threat pulses also reference it.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-10-07 through GLOBAL ASSET DOMAINS INC. and was caught just two days later. That timing points to a freshly spun-up throwaway domain rather than an established business. It sits behind Cloudflare, Inc., with the IP geolocated to Canada, which hides the real origin server. The padlock comes from a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so it says nothing about who runs the site.
What to do
Do not deposit anything, and never pay a "fee" to unlock a balance. That second payment is how these schemes take more from people who already paid once. If you sent funds, record the transaction hashes and receiving addresses and report them to your exchange and local police. Expect follow-up "recovery services" offering to get the money back; these are scams too. If you created an account, change that password everywhere you reused it. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and report it to Cloudflare and the registrar.
