How the scam works
Fake SOAT sites copy the insurer's branding and offer a quick policy purchase, often at a tempting discount. The visitor enters a licence plate, personal details such as ID number, name and address, and then payment card data or online banking credentials to "pay" for the policy. No valid policy is issued. The victim loses the money and leaves their identity and card details with the operators, and may drive believing they are insured when they are not.

On 2026-10-10, 15 of 92 VirusTotal engines marked the domain as malicious, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, CRDF and alphaMountain.ai.
