TOML to YAML Converter

Runs locally

Use TOML to YAML Converter

What it does

Convert a simple TOML configuration into block-style YAML with two-space indentation.

It runs entirely in your browser: nothing you enter is uploaded.

Example

Server config

Input
title = "Report feed"

[server]
host = "127.0.0.1"
port = 8080
tls = true
tags = ["web", "api"]

[[owners]]
name = "alice"

[[owners]]
name = "bob"
Output (captured 2026-10-20)
title: Report feed
server:
  host: "127.0.0.1"
  port: 8080
  tls: true
  tags:
    - web
    - api
owners:
  -
    name: alice
  -
    name: bob

title: Report feed, a server mapping with host written as "127.0.0.1" and a tags list, and an owners list of two mappings.

FAQ

Which TOML input does it understand?

The same subset as the TOML to JSON converter: [table] and [[array]] headers, and key = value lines with quoted strings, numbers, booleans and one-line arrays. A # inside a quoted value is read as a comment, and multi-line arrays, inline tables and dotted keys are not supported.

When are strings quoted in the YAML?

When they are empty, start with a digit, equal true, false or null, or contain a YAML indicator such as a colon, comma, bracket, brace, #, &, *, ?, |, >, %, @, backtick or exclamation mark. Words like yes, no, on and off stay unquoted, and YAML 1.1 parsers read those as booleans, so quote them by hand.

Is the file uploaded?

No. The conversion runs in your browser, and nothing leaves the page.
