Convert TOML tables, arrays of tables and key = value pairs into indented block YAML.
TOML to JSON Converter
Use TOML to JSON Converter
What it does
Convert a simple TOML file, such as a section of Cargo.toml or pyproject.toml, into formatted JSON. The parser covers a subset of TOML, described below.
It runs entirely in your browser: nothing you enter is uploaded.
Example
Server config
title = "Report feed"
[server]
host = "127.0.0.1"
port = 8080
tls = true
tags = ["web", "api"]
[[owners]]
name = "alice"
[[owners]]
name = "bob"{
"title": "Report feed",
"server": {
"host": "127.0.0.1",
"port": 8080,
"tls": true,
"tags": [
"web",
"api"
]
},
"owners": [
{
"name": "alice"
},
{
"name": "bob"
}
]
}A JSON object with title, a server object holding host, port, tls and the tags array, and an owners array of two objects.
FAQ
Which TOML features are supported?
[table] and [[array of tables]] headers with dotted names, and key = value lines with quoted strings, integers, decimals, true and false, and one-line arrays written like JSON. Dates stay strings, and # comments are removed.
What does it get wrong?
A # inside a quoted value is also taken as a comment, so "#ff0000" or a URL with a #fragment is cut off. Multi-line arrays and strings, inline tables, dotted keys, escape sequences, numbers like 1_000 or 1e6 and sub-tables of [[arrays]] are not supported: they turn into strings or are dropped.
Is the file uploaded?
No. The TOML is parsed in your browser, and nothing is sent to a server.
