Use Random Port Generator

What it does

Pick random port numbers for a development server, a test container or a firewall rule, inside a range you choose.

It runs entirely in your browser: nothing you enter is uploaded.

Example

IANA dynamic range

Input
49152
Output (captured 2026-10-20)
54106, 60068, 60314, 58736, 60373

Five distinct ports between 49152 and 65535, the range IANA sets aside for dynamic and private use.

FAQ

Does it check whether a port is free?

No. A web page cannot see which ports are open on your machine, so the numbers are only random picks. Check with ss -ltn on Linux, lsof -i -P on macOS or netstat -ano on Windows before you bind one.

Which range should I use?

Ports below 1024 are well-known service ports, and on Linux binding to them needs root or a special capability, so the default skips them. 49152–65535 is the IANA dynamic and private range with no registered services, but operating systems also take outgoing ports from high ranges (Linux: 32768–60999), so check that the port is free.

Is anything sent or scanned?

No. The numbers come from crypto.getRandomValues in your browser; no port is probed and nothing is uploaded.
