FAQ
What does the table cover?
40 common ports with service and protocol, such as 22 (SSH), 53 (DNS), 443 (HTTPS), 3389 (RDP) and 27017 (MongoDB). The search matches any part of the port number or the service name, so 443 also finds 8443.
Can I rely on a port to identify a service?
No. Ports are conventions: any service can listen on any port, so a phishing page on :8443 or an admin panel on an odd port is not explained by the table. It is also a short list, not the IANA Service Name and Transport Protocol Port Number Registry.
Does the tool scan or contact anything?
No. It is a static table filtered in your browser; no connections are made.
