Use Password Generator

What it does

Generate random passwords in your browser with crypto.getRandomValues, choosing the length, the number of passwords and the character sets. A simple meter rates any password you paste.

It runs entirely in your browser: nothing you enter is uploaded.

Example

Default settings

Input
Length 24, count 5, all four character sets (A-Z, a-z, 0-9, symbols)
What the output looks like
Five 24-character passwords from A–Z, a–z, 0–9 and symbols, for example of the form T9#rW2!mQx… (the rest hidden).
A password printed on a public page is not secret, so this page never shows a real one: yours are generated in your browser with crypto.getRandomValues.

Gives five 24-character passwords of about 155 bits each; every press of Generate draws new ones.

FAQ

How random are the passwords?

Each character comes from crypto.getRandomValues, the browser's cryptographic random generator. Bytes are mapped to characters with a modulo, which makes some characters slightly more likely and costs less than 0.02 bits per character, so a 24-character password from all four sets still has about 155 bits.

Can I trust the strength meter?

Only as a rough guide: it scores length and character classes and knows nothing about words, patterns or breaches, so P@ssw0rd2024 is rated Strong. Check a password you already use with Pwned Password Check.

Are the passwords sent or stored anywhere?

No. They are generated on this page, never uploaded and not saved, so copy them into your password manager before you close the tab.
