Address Poisoning Checker
Use Address Poisoning Checker
What it does
Enter the address you meant to pay and paste your history. Addresses that copy its visible start and end, the trick behind address poisoning, are marked character by character.
It runs entirely in your browser: nothing you enter is uploaded.

Mar 04 Receive from 0x5aAe…eAed 0 USDTIntended address: EVM (Ethereum and compatible chains), checksum OK · shown in wallets as 0x5aAe…eAed
1 lookalike address of 0x5aAe…eAed found. Someone created an address with the same visible start and end as yours and put it in your history. Never copy a recipient from the transaction history; use the recipient’s receive screen or a saved, verified contact, and compare the whole address.
LookalikeFirst 4 and last 4 characters match
Intended 0x5aAeb6053F3E94C9b9A09f33669435E7Ef1BeAed
This one 0x5aaE7C5d1E0F3A6B2C9e4D8a1f7B3c6e9A2deAED
Matches the first 4 and the last 4 characters after 0x, exactly the parts wallets and explorers show when they shorten an address (0x5aAe…eAed), but 31 of the 32 characters in between differ. This is the address-poisoning pattern: the attacker sends a zero-value or dust transfer from a lookalike so it appears in your history, hoping you copy it next time.
Shortened0x5aAe…eAed
Only the first 4 and last 4 characters are visible, and they match your address. This may be your address or a poisoned lookalike: open the transaction on the explorer, copy the full address and paste it here.
Your intended address appears 1 time.
1 other address with no visible resemblanceOne lookalike is found: it shares the first 4 and last 4 characters after 0x with the intended address, and the differing middle is marked. The shortened 0x5aAe…eAed entry is listed for a manual check.
FAQ
What does the Address Poisoning Checker compare?
It extracts every address from the pasted text and compares it with the address you meant to pay, after the fixed prefix such as 0x, T or bc1q. Addresses that share at least the first three and last three characters but differ in between are flagged as lookalikes, with the differing characters marked.
Can it miss a poisoned address or flag a harmless one?
It only sees addresses present in the text: shortened forms such as 0x5aAe…eAed can be compared on their visible ends only. An unrelated address can share a few characters with yours by chance, so short matches are shown as partial matches, not as lookalikes.
Is my wallet history sent anywhere?
No. The comparison runs in your browser; the pasted text is not stored or sent, and the tool does not query any blockchain or explorer.
