PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

usdc062.com is an impersonation phishing site. Its name borrows the USDC stablecoin ticker plus a number, a pattern built to look like an official or promotional USDC address to crypto holders. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-09. The site went offline on 2026-10-14 with its content blocked by the provider, and it was still down at the last check on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Sites of this kind dress up as a trusted crypto brand and push visitors toward an action that hands over control. That action is usually connecting a wallet and signing a transaction, typing in a recovery phrase, or sending funds to claim a supposed reward or migration. The victim can lose whatever the signature or phrase unlocks, often the entire wallet balance. The live page carried the title "onkeyon", which names no brand, while the domain itself is USDC-themed and we classified the site as impersonation.

Evidence

Independent detection is thin. On 2026-10-13, 2 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: Forcepoint ThreatSeeker and LevelBlue. PhishDestroy is the only blocklist carrying it so far. The domain does appear in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which means other researchers have tied it to malicious activity. Given the low engine count, a clean verdict from other scanners should not be read as proof the site is safe.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2025-12-29 through Gname.com Pte. Ltd., roughly nine months before we detected it. That gap suggests the name was held in reserve or used quietly before this campaign surfaced. Traffic ran through Cloudflare, Inc. on an address geolocated to Canada, so the real origin server sits behind the proxy.

What to do

If you connected a wallet to usdc062.com, revoke any token approvals you granted there with a reputable approval checker, and stop using that wallet for anything valuable. If you typed in a seed phrase or private key, treat the wallet as compromised and move the remaining funds to a newly generated wallet right away. Do not send any further "fees" or deposits to unlock rewards it promised. Defenders should block the domain and watch for sibling names that pair the USDC ticker with numbers, since this naming style tends to come in series.
