Overview

usdc031.com is an impersonation phishing site whose domain is built around USDC, the widely used dollar stablecoin, with a numeric suffix that reads like an official regional or campaign mirror. It targets people who hold or want to use USDC and may trust anything carrying the token's name. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-09, and as of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving content. The page title is simply "Home" and names no brand, while our classification rests on the domain's use of the USDC name to pose as a legitimate service.

How the scam works

Sites in this pattern present themselves as an official USDC portal, typically offering something like a reward, a redemption, a bonus or a "claim" tied to the stablecoin. The visitor is then pushed to connect a wallet and sign a transaction, type in a recovery phrase, or send USDC as a deposit or fee to unlock the promised payout. Any of these steps hands control of funds to the operator. A signed approval lets them sweep tokens, a recovery phrase gives them the whole wallet, and deposits are simply kept.

Evidence

Six of 92 VirusTotal engines flag the domain as of 2026-10-17: CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, LevelBlue, SOCRadar and VIPRE. That is a modest share, but it comes from several unrelated vendors, so the call does not rest on a single feed. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which means other researchers have tracked it as part of malicious activity. Among public blocklists, PhishDestroy currently lists it.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Gname.com Pte. Ltd. on 2025-12-29, roughly nine months before PhishDestroy detected it. That long gap suggests it was held in reserve or ran quietly before drawing attention. Traffic is served through Cloudflare, Inc. on an address geolocated to Canada. Because Cloudflare acts as a front-end proxy, the server actually hosting the page is not exposed.

What to do

Do not connect a wallet to usdc031.com or follow any claim or redemption flow on it. If you already connected and signed something, use a token-approval checker to revoke any approvals you granted, and move remaining assets to a fresh wallet. If you entered a recovery phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and transfer everything out right away. Any USDC sent as a deposit or fee should be considered lost, and anyone who later promises to recover it for a fee is running a second scam. Security teams should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and report it to the registrar and to Cloudflare's abuse channel.
