PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

usdc010.com is an impersonation phishing page. Its name pairs the USDC stablecoin ticker with a number, so it reads like an official or partner address to people who hold or trade the token. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-09. The site has been offline since 2026-10-14, its content is blocked at the provider level, and it was still down when last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Sites like this borrow the credibility of a well-known crypto brand to make a visitor comfortable handing over something valuable. Depending on the variant, that means connecting a wallet and signing a transaction, depositing USDC into a fake account or yield scheme, or typing in a recovery phrase. Whichever path the victim takes, the result is the same: the attacker gets the funds directly or gains control of the wallet. The page carried only the generic title "Home", which names no brand, while we classified the site as USDC impersonation.

Evidence

Detection by security vendors is thin. On 2026-10-13 only 2 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker and LevelBlue. It appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which means other researchers have independently tied it to malicious activity. PhishDestroy is the only blocklist listing it, so most browser and wallet protections would not have warned a visitor while the site was live.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2025-12-29 through Gname.com Pte. Ltd., about nine months before PhishDestroy caught it. That long gap suggests the name was bought in advance and held until it was needed, or that it ran unnoticed for a while. The site sat behind Cloudflare, with the edge address located in Canada, which hides the real origin server from anyone looking it up.

What to do

If you connected a wallet to usdc010.com, use a token-approval checker to review and revoke any allowances it requested. Then move your remaining assets to a fresh wallet if you signed anything unfamiliar. If you entered a seed phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and empty it right away. Money already deposited cannot be recovered through any "support" or "unlock fee" contact, because those offers are a second-stage scam. Defenders should block the domain and watch for lookalike USDC names that follow the same ticker-plus-number pattern.
