PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

starcreatorgfo.com is a phishing site that presents itself as GFO-X. The page title reads simply "GFO-X", and the domain tucks "gfo" behind an unrelated "starcreator" prefix so it looks plausible in a link or search result. It targets people who expect to deal with GFO-X and may hand over logins, funds or wallet access. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-29, and it was still online and serving content on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages like this copy the name and look of a known trading brand to borrow its credibility. A visitor who arrives through a link, ad or direct message sees a familiar "GFO-X" interface and is asked to sign in, make a deposit, or connect a crypto wallet. Anything typed into the page goes to the operators, not to GFO-X. Depending on what the victim provides, they can lose account access, deposited funds, or tokens through a malicious wallet signature.

Evidence

Six of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-03: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and URLQuery. That is a modest count, but it is consistent with a site only days old. The stronger signal comes from crypto-specific defenses. MetaMask's phishing blocklist and SEAL both list it alongside PhishDestroy, and four AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference it.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-23 through Cloudflare, Inc., and PhishDestroy detected it six days later. A site that goes from registration to active phishing within a week fits a throwaway domain built for a single campaign. It sits behind Cloudflare's network on an address geolocated to Canada, which reflects Cloudflare's edge rather than the real origin server. Its Let's Encrypt certificate means the padlock in the browser proves nothing about who runs the site.

What to do

If you entered a password or email on this site, change it on the real GFO-X service and on any account that reuses it, and turn on app-based 2FA. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, review and revoke token approvals with a trusted approval checker, and move remaining assets to a fresh wallet if you approved transfers or exposed a seed phrase. Never send a "verification" deposit or "unlock fee" requested by this page. Report any losses to your local authorities. Security teams should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and add it to mail and chat filters.
