Overview

proposal-cashmere-exchange.click is a phishing page that impersonates Cashmere. It uses the title "Cashmere - Autonomous Monetary Infrastructure" so it reads as an official project page. The domain combines "proposal" and "exchange" with the brand name, which suits a lure aimed at Cashmere users and crypto traders. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-07. As of 2026-10-19 the site still responded, although its DNS showed inactive, so treat the domain as hostile.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages like this copy a project's branding so visitors trust them on sight. They are usually reached through links that announce a governance proposal, a vote or an exchange event. The visitor is then asked to connect a wallet, sign a message or approve a transaction to "participate." That signature or approval hands spending rights or funds to the operators. Anything taken this way is generally unrecoverable once it moves on-chain.

Evidence

Ten of 92 VirusTotal engines flag the domain as of 2026-10-11, including BitDefender, Kaspersky, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, CRDF and alphaMountain.ai. That is a modest share, but it spans several unrelated security vendors. The stronger signal comes from crypto-focused defenses: MetaMask, ScamSniffer and SEAL all list it alongside PhishDestroy. These are the blocklists that warn wallet users before they sign. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Spaceship, Inc. on 2026-10-06, and PhishDestroy caught it the next day. A one-day gap like this fits a throwaway domain built for a short campaign. It sits behind Cloudflare, Inc. on an address geolocated to Canada, which hides the actual origin server. The cheap .click extension and the keyword-stuffed name both point to a disposable lure, not a project property.

Do not open the page or sign anything it presents. If you connected a wallet, review and revoke any token approvals or permissions granted around your visit using a reputable approval checker. If you suspect a signature exposed your assets, move what remains to a fresh wallet. Never enter a seed phrase anywhere on this site, and treat any phrase already typed there as compromised.
