PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

live-ledgrapp.relumesite.ai is an impersonation phishing page posing as Ledger Live, the companion app for Ledger hardware wallets. Its hostname misspells the brand as "ledgr", and the page title reads "Official Ledger®® Live — Getting Started | Ledger™", with a doubled trademark sign that no official Ledger page would carry. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-10-08. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still alive and redirecting visitors.

How the scam works

The "Getting Started" framing targets people setting up a new device or reinstalling Ledger Live. Pages of this type walk the visitor through a fake onboarding flow and then ask them to type in their 24-word recovery phrase, or to download a counterfeit Ledger Live build that requests it. Anyone who hands over that phrase gives the attacker full control of the wallet. The funds can then be moved without the physical device, so the hardware's protection is lost.

Evidence

Twelve of 92 engines on VirusTotal flagged the site as of 2026-10-12. The flagging vendors include alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data and Kaspersky. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and recognized Ledger branding on the page. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as a phishing domain (DBL_PHISH), and it is on the PhishDestroy blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-08-11 through Cloudflare, Inc, about two months before PhishDestroy detected it. The site resolves to Cloudflare's network (AS13335) in the US. Its certificate comes from Google Trust Services (WE1), so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.

What to do

If you entered your recovery phrase on this site, treat the wallet as compromised. Set up a new seed on your Ledger and move any remaining funds to it right away, before the attacker does. If you installed software from the page, uninstall it, scan the machine and get Ledger Live only through Ledger's official channels. Remember that Ledger never asks for your recovery phrase on a website or in an app. Security teams should block the hostname and its parent domain at the DNS and proxy level, alert users who manage hardware wallets, and report the page to the hosting provider for takedown.
