PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

ads.alterhub.site presented itself as "ALTER | Roblox Script Hub", a gaming-themed scam aimed at Roblox players looking for cheat scripts, executors and in-game advantages. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-27. The site went offline that same day, and its DNS was still inactive at the last check on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Script hubs exploit a common wish among Roblox players: free Robux, rare items or exploits that bend the game's rules. A page like this one typically asks visitors to download an executor or loader, paste a script into their browser or client, or sign in with their Roblox account to unlock content. Each of these routes can hand over the account itself. Downloaded tools often carry info-stealing malware that lifts saved passwords and session cookies, and pasted scripts or fake logins pass credentials straight to the operator. Victims risk losing the account, its Robux and limited items, and sometimes data from the rest of the infected computer.

Evidence

Independent detection is thin. On 2026-09-29, only 2 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: Forcepoint ThreatSeeker and SOCRadar. PhishDestroy is the only blocklist carrying it. That low count reflects how quickly the site disappeared rather than a clean bill of health, since most engines never had a chance to scan live content.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2025-10-17 through HOSTINGER operations, UAB, almost a year before PhishDestroy detected it. That long gap suggests the parent name was held in reserve or used quietly before this campaign surfaced. The site sat behind Cloudflare, Inc., which reported a Canadian address. Cloudflare's proxy hides the true origin server. The "ads" subdomain points to a hostname built for traffic from promotions or links rather than direct visits.

What to do

If you visited and signed in, change your Roblox password now, turn on 2-Step Verification and log out of all sessions so any stolen cookies stop working. If you downloaded or ran anything from the site, treat the computer as compromised. Run a full malware scan and change the passwords saved in your browser, starting with email. Check your Roblox inventory, trades and Robux balance, and report unauthorized activity to Roblox support. Parents should talk with children about "free Robux" and script offers. Defenders should block this hostname, watch for other subdomains on the same parent domain, and treat Roblox executor downloads as a malware delivery risk.
