PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

yaccc.top is an active impersonation phishing site that copies the look of WhatsApp. It targets WhatsApp users by presenting a page titled “WhatsApp”. PhishDestroy first observed the domain on 2026-10-18. The site is still alive as of the last check on 2026-10-19, although its content was reported as DNS inactive.

How the scam works

The page displays the official WhatsApp logo and login prompts, tricking visitors into entering their phone number and verification code. Attackers then capture these credentials to hijack the victim’s WhatsApp account or use the code for further social engineering. No wallet functionality is involved; the loss is limited to account takeover and possible fraud.

Evidence

VirusTotal flagged the domain with 13 detections out of 92 engines, including AlphaMountain.ai, CRDF, CSIS Security Group, ESET, Emsisoft, Fortinet, G‑Data and LevelBlue. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and identified WhatsApp as the impersonated brand.
