PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

tokenimx-cdn-edge-hk07.club is an impersonation phishing page that poses as an Ethereum wallet service. It is aimed at Ethereum holders and imToken wallet users. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-10-14, two days after the domain was registered. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its phishing content.

How the scam works

The page is titled "imToken | Ethereum", and urlscan.io identified imToken branding on it, so it looks like the official imToken wallet presented as an Ethereum product. Our classification names Ethereum as the impersonated brand, while the title also shows the imToken wallet name. Pages of this kind usually invite visitors to restore or verify a wallet by typing in a recovery phrase or private key. Some instead ask the visitor to connect a wallet and approve a request. Anyone who hands over a seed phrase gives the operators full control of the wallet, and they can empty it at any time.

Evidence

On 2026-10-14, 7 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: Emsisoft, Fortinet, Kaspersky, Netcraft, SafeToOpen, SOCRadar and Webroot. Google Safe Browsing lists it under SOCIAL_ENGINEERING, and urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict. Spamhaus DBL lists the domain as DBL_SPAM, it appears in 4 AlienVault OTX pulses, and it is on the PhishDestroy blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-10-12 through Dynadot Inc. It is hosted at 156.225.27.69 on the COGNETCLOUD-2 network (cognetcloud INC), and the IP is located in Hong Kong. The site uses a TLS certificate issued by Let's Encrypt (YR2), so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the site is legitimate. The long subdomain-style name mixes "tokenimx" with CDN and edge-node wording to pass as service infrastructure.

What to do

If you only visited the page, close it and do not come back. If you typed a recovery phrase or private key, treat that wallet as compromised. Create a new wallet on a trusted device and move any remaining funds there right away. If you connected a wallet or signed a transaction, review and revoke token approvals with a reputable approval-checking tool. Install imToken only from its official app store listing.
