PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

titcoin.mom was a fake airdrop site that presented itself as a claim page for a "titcoin" token giveaway, aimed at crypto holders hoping to collect free tokens. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-09-05, two days after the domain was registered. The site has been offline since 2026-09-11, and its DNS was still inactive when last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

The page, titled "titcoin | Airdrop", used the standard fake-claim pattern. Visitors are told they qualify for free tokens and are asked to connect a wallet to claim them. The claim step is really a request to sign a transaction, approval or permit that gives the operator control over the victim's assets. Once signed, tokens and sometimes NFTs can be moved out of the wallet without further interaction. The promised airdrop never arrives, and the victim can lose whatever the signed permission covered.

Evidence

On 2026-09-06, VirusTotal showed 3 of 90 engines flagging the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker and Kaspersky. That detection rate is low, which is common for short-lived claim pages that go dark before most vendors catch up. Stronger backing comes from crypto-specific blocklists, since the domain is listed by MetaMask and SEAL as well as PhishDestroy. It also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-03 through Global Domain Group LLC. It resolved to 104.21.6.150 on Cloudflare, Inc. network space, with the country recorded as Canada. Its TLS certificate came from Google Trust Services (WE1), so the padlock in the browser said nothing about whether the site could be trusted.

What to do

If you only opened the page, there is no further action needed, but treat unexpected airdrop offers as scams. If you connected a wallet and signed anything, open a token-approval revocation tool right away and cancel every allowance or permit granted around that time. Then move any remaining assets to a fresh wallet. If you typed a seed phrase or private key into the site, consider that wallet fully compromised and empty it immediately. Defenders should block the domain and its IP at DNS and proxy level, and add it to wallet and browser blocklists.
