Overview

store.projectwifi.online is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself as a storefront for PROJECT WIFI under the title "PROJECT WIFI – Safe Bots with PROJECT WIFI". It targets people looking to buy automated bots, and its listing by MetaMask and SEAL points to a crypto-wallet audience. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-08-09. On 2026-10-19 the site was still online and its address forwarded visitors elsewhere through a redirect.

How the scam works

The page uses the PROJECT WIFI name and the promise of "safe bots" to look like an official shop, so buyers arrive expecting a legitimate purchase. Fake bot stores of this kind usually take payment for software that never arrives. They may also ask the buyer to connect a wallet or sign transactions as part of checkout or licensing. The loss is the money sent to the operator, and anyone who grants wallet permissions can have assets pulled out later. Because the domain now redirects, the destination can change without notice.

Evidence

On 2026-09-21, 11 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including BitDefender, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Gridinsoft and the Vietnamese anti-scam group Chong Lua Dao. That is a minority of engines, but the vendors come from different backgrounds and agree on the verdict. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL under the phishing category. MetaMask and SEAL block it alongside PhishDestroy, so wallet users running those protections should already see a warning.

Infrastructure

The parent domain was registered through Namecheap on 2025-03-18, roughly seventeen months before PhishDestroy detected this store subdomain. That gap fits a domain kept in reserve and later reused for a lure. The site is hosted on Namecheap's network in the US. Its Sectigo certificate is domain-validated, which only confirms who controls the domain, so the padlock says nothing about whether the shop is genuine.

What to do

If you paid this store, contact your card issuer or payment provider immediately and dispute the charge. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, revoke the approvals granted to unfamiliar contracts and move funds you consider exposed to a fresh wallet. If you created an account with a password you reuse, change it wherever it is used and turn on 2FA. Do not run any bot or file obtained from the site. Defenders should block the domain and its redirect targets at DNS and proxy level, and alert users who search for PROJECT WIFI bots.
