Overview

sitemv063te2yav7.cfd is an impersonation phishing page that copies Flare Network, using the title "Flare: The blockchain for data" to pass as the project's official site. It targets Flare community members, FLR holders and anyone looking for Flare tools or rewards. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-10-09. As of 2026-10-19 the domain's DNS no longer served the page, but the domain is still registered and could be pointed at content again.

How the scam works

The page borrows Flare's real branding and tagline so a visitor believes they are on the genuine network site. Pages like this usually push a "connect wallet", claim or migration step. That step then asks for a recovery phrase or requests a signature or token approval. Either one gives the operator control of the wallet's assets. Funds taken this way move on-chain within minutes and usually cannot be recovered.

Evidence

19 of 92 VirusTotal engines flag the domain, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Emsisoft, G-Data, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai and CRDF, as of 2026-10-13. urlscan.io rates it malicious and recognises the flarenetwork brand on the page. It is blocked by the wallet-focused lists MetaMask, ScamSniffer and SEAL as well as PhishDestroy, and four AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference it.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Spaceship, Inc. on 2026-10-08, one day before it appeared in our detection. That short gap is typical of throwaway phishing domains. Its random-string name on the low-cost .cfd extension contains no brand at all, so it is built to be shared as a link rather than typed. The site sits behind Cloudflare, which hides the real origin server, with a Canadian IP. Its free automated Let's Encrypt certificate means the browser padlock says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.

What to do

If you connected a wallet to this site, use a token-approval checker to revoke any approvals or permissions you granted. If you typed in your recovery phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and move all remaining assets to a new wallet with a fresh seed. Only reach Flare through bookmarks or links from its official channels. Security teams should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and watch for related random-name .cfd domains carrying Flare branding.
