onchnia.net is an impersonation phishing site that presents itself as "OnChnia," a crypto platform. It is aimed at people looking for crypto investment opportunities and at self-custody wallet users. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-10-09. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its scam content, so anyone who finds it can still be drawn in.
How the scam works
urlscan.io classified the page as a crypto scam and an investment scam, which fits a familiar pattern. A polished site under the OnChnia name promises outsized returns, persuades the visitor to deposit cryptocurrency, and displays growing balances on a dashboard. When the victim tries to withdraw, new "fees," "taxes" or verification deposits appear, and the money never comes back. Because MetaMask's blocklist also lists the domain, the site may ask visitors to connect a wallet, which can expose them to malicious transaction or approval requests.
Evidence
On 2026-10-13, 8 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky and URLQuery. That count is modest, but these vendors work independently of one another. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict. The domain appears on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists in addition to PhishDestroy's, and it is referenced in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers are tracking it too.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-08-28 through Gname.com Pte. Ltd., 42 days before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap is typical of scam domains set up quickly for a single campaign. The site runs behind Cloudflare, Inc. (IP 188.114.96.3, geolocated to Canada), which conceals the real origin server. Its TLS certificate comes from Google Trust Services (WE1), so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.
What to do
If you deposited funds, stop sending money, and do not pay any "withdrawal fee" or unlock charge, because these payments only deepen the loss. Save your transaction hashes, deposit addresses and chat logs, then report them to your local cybercrime unit and to the exchange you sent funds from. If you connected a wallet, revoke any approvals you granted to unfamiliar contracts, and move assets to a fresh wallet if you signed anything you did not understand. Change any password you reused on the site. Security teams should block onchnia.net at DNS and web proxies and watch for lookalike OnChnia domains registered through the same channels.
