nvmp48.live is an impersonation phishing page that presented itself under the name Nova, borrowing that identity to win the trust of crypto users. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-25. The site is now dead. It has been offline since 2026-10-14 and was still unreachable when last checked on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Impersonation pages copy the look and name of a familiar service, here shown in the browser tab as Nova, so that visitors believe they are on the real thing. Victims typically arrive through ads, social media posts or direct messages. They are then asked to log in, verify an account, enter recovery details or send a payment. Anything typed into the page goes straight to the operators, who use it to take over accounts or steal funds. A randomized string like nvmp48 in place of a recognizable brand name is typical of throwaway domains rotated through such campaigns.
Evidence
Detection is thin but independent. On 2026-10-06, 4 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. A low count like this means most security tools would not have warned a visitor. The domain also appears in 3 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which shows other researchers tied it to malicious activity. Among blocklists, it is listed by PhishDestroy.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through NameCheap, Inc. on 2026-08-11, about six weeks before PhishDestroy caught it. That gap suggests it was set up in advance and possibly used quietly before exposure. It was hosted on FlokiNET ehf in Germany, and its HTTPS certificate came from Let's Encrypt. The padlock only meant the connection was encrypted and said nothing about whether the site was legitimate.
What to do
If you entered a password on this site, change it immediately on the genuine Nova service and anywhere else you reused it, and turn on app-based two-factor authentication. If you typed a seed phrase or private key, treat that wallet as compromised and move any remaining assets to a new wallet. If you sent money or card details, contact your bank or card issuer and report the transaction. Defenders should block nvmp48.live and the hosting IP, and search mail and proxy logs for past visits. Watch for look-alike random-string domains using the Nova name, since operators often move to a fresh domain once one is taken down.
