PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

nodeeye.online operated as a crypto wallet drainer, presenting itself to visitors as "Nedoxa · Wallet Security Scanner" — a fake security tool designed to lure cryptocurrency holders into surrendering wallet access. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-09-13, the same day the domain was registered, indicating it was operational immediately upon launch. The site has since gone offline; it was confirmed dead as of 2026-10-16 and remained so at last check on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Wallet drainers dressed as security tools are a well-established attack pattern. The victim is invited to "scan" or "verify" their wallet for threats, which requires connecting it to the site. Once connected, the drainer silently requests broad token-spending approvals or prompts the victim to sign a malicious transaction. The result is that the attacker can transfer tokens and NFTs out of the wallet without any further interaction from the victim. The Nedoxa branding gave the operation a veneer of legitimacy, making the request to connect a wallet feel routine rather than dangerous.

Evidence

Thirteen of 89 engines on VirusTotal flagged nodeeye.online as malicious as of 2026-09-24, with detections from alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft, and Kaspersky — a broad cross-vendor consensus that reinforces the classification. The domain also appears in four OTX threat-intelligence pulses, adding independent corroboration from the security community. PhishDestroy lists the domain on its blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-13 through Global Domain Group LLC and was hosted on IP 163.61.188.5 within the NEW DHAKA HARDWARE network, physically located in the US. TLS was provided by Let's Encrypt under the YR2 intermediate, a free certificate that requires no identity verification. The domain's registration and activation on the same date is consistent with a purpose-built fraud operation.

Transfer remaining assets to a fresh wallet address that has never interacted with this site.
