PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

In Turkish, girisadresiguncel.fun reads as "current login address." Fake sites use this kind of name to pose as the latest working entry point for a service whose regular address users can't reach. PhishDestroy classifies it as impersonation phishing and first saw it on 2026-10-12, the same day the domain was registered. As of 2026-10-19 the site still responds, but its DNS is inactive and it serves no live content.

How the scam works

Schemes like this spread through messages, social posts and search results that promise the new or current login link for a familiar service. A victim who follows the link lands on a copy of that service's sign-in page and enters a username, password and sometimes a one-time code, all of which go straight to the operators. The page currently shows the Turkish title "Domain Aktivasyonu Bekleniyor" ("Domain activation pending"), a placeholder message rather than a login form. That differs from our impersonation classification.

Evidence

On 2026-10-16, 11 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, only four days after it was registered. The vendors that flagged it include alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, LevelBlue, Lionic and SOCRadar. That is a modest share of engines, but it is broad agreement across unrelated security firms for such a new domain. Among public blocklists, so far only PhishDestroy lists it.

Infrastructure

PhishDestroy flagged the domain on its first day of existence, which fits the throwaway-mirror pattern where a new address is registered as soon as an old one is blocked. It was registered through Spaceship, Inc. on the low-cost .fun extension. It sits behind Cloudflare's network in the US, which hides the server that actually hosts it.

What to do

If you entered a username or password here, change it right away on the real service and on any other account that uses the same password. Turn on two-factor authentication and review recent logins and linked devices for activity you don't recognize. Don't rely on "current address" links shared in chats or ads; get the official address from the service itself. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and watch for similar Turkish "giris adresi" lookalike registrations.
