fortero.top is a phishing site that PhishDestroy classifies as impersonation: it presents itself as a legitimate service so visitors trust it with credentials, personal details or crypto assets. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-16. When checked on 2026-10-19, the domain still responded, but its DNS no longer pointed to active page content.
How the scam works
Impersonation pages copy the look, wording and flow of a known brand, then ask for something only the real service should receive, such as a login, a seed phrase, a wallet connection or a payment. Anything entered goes straight to the operators, who can use it to take over accounts or empty wallets. The page title was a bare "Loading" with no brand shown, while our classification identifies the site as an impersonation phishing page.
Evidence
Six of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-26: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue and SOCRadar. That is a small share of engines, but these vendors reached their verdicts independently of PhishDestroy. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as a spam domain, and it appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tracked it too. Among the blocklists covered here, it is listed by PhishDestroy.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Gname.com Pte. Ltd. on 2026-08-28, just 19 days before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap is typical of throwaway phishing domains set up for a brief campaign. It resolved to 46.29.26.38 on the M/S ROBI TRADERS network in Turkey. Its free Let's Encrypt certificate means the browser padlock showed a valid connection, which says nothing about whether the site is honest.
What to do
If you typed a password into this site, change it on the real service right away, then enable or reset two-factor authentication and sign out of all active sessions. If you entered a seed phrase or private key, treat that wallet as compromised and move any remaining funds to a newly created wallet. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, revoke the approvals you granted. If you shared card or bank details, contact your bank. Defenders should block fortero.top and 46.29.26.38 at DNS and proxy level and search their logs for earlier visits.
