PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

fortclc.best is an impersonation phishing site. It presents itself as a legitimate service so that visitors trust it enough to hand over account details or money. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-06, only a week after the domain was registered. As of 2026-10-19 the site is still online and serving live content, so it remains a current threat.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages copy the look, wording and flow of a known brand. Victims arrive through ads, search results, direct messages or lookalike links, see a familiar interface and enter what the real service would ask for: login credentials, one-time codes, personal details or payments. Whatever is typed in goes straight to the operators, who can then take over the account or reuse the data. The page carries the bare title "Loading", which shows no brand at all, while our classification is based on the impersonation behaviour of the site.

Evidence

On 2026-10-14, 6 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue and SOCRadar. That is a modest count, but it comes from six unrelated vendors that reached the same verdict independently. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as a spam domain, which links it to unsolicited distribution. PhishDestroy's own blocklist also includes it.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Spaceship, Inc. on 2026-09-29 and was detected seven days later. Short-lived, freshly registered domains on a cheap TLD such as .best are typical of campaigns built to be thrown away. The server sits on a network registered to M/S Robi Traders in Bangladesh, while the IP address geolocates to Finland. The free Let's Encrypt certificate means the browser padlock shows only that the connection is encrypted. It says nothing about who runs the site.

What to do

Do not enter anything on fortclc.best. If you already typed a password there, change it right away on the real service and on any other account that uses the same password. Then turn on app-based two-factor authentication and sign out all active sessions. If you entered card or banking details, contact your bank to block the card and dispute any charges, and be wary of follow-up messages that use the personal details you submitted. Security teams should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and search logs for visits since 2026-09-29.
