PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

antscoin.online is an impersonation phishing site that presents itself as "ANTS Colony" to people interested in the ANTS coin project. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-08-26. As of 2026-10-19 it was still online, so anyone searching for the project can still reach it.

How the scam works

Pages like this copy the name and look of a crypto project so visitors believe they are on the official site. The "ANTS Colony" branding is the bait. Typically the visitor is then pushed to connect a wallet to claim tokens, join a presale or check eligibility. That step asks them to sign a transaction or token approval that gives the operator control of their funds, or to type in a recovery phrase. Either way, the victim can lose the assets in the connected wallet, often within minutes and with no way to reverse the transfers.

Evidence

On 2026-10-06, four of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is a low count, and most security tools will not warn a visitor. ScamSniffer, which focuses on Web3 phishing, lists the domain alongside PhishDestroy. It also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tracked it independently.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through NAMECHEAP INC on 2026-08-17, just nine days before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap is typical of a site created specifically for a campaign. It resolves to 216.198.79.1 on Amazon.com, Inc. infrastructure in the United States. The certificate comes from Let's Encrypt, so the padlock in the browser shows only that the connection is encrypted, not that the site is genuine.

What to do

Do not connect a wallet or sign anything on antscoin.online. If you already connected and approved a transaction, use a token approval checker to revoke any allowances you granted. Then move your remaining assets to a fresh wallet. If you entered a seed phrase, treat that wallet as compromised, create a new one and transfer everything you can immediately. Defenders should block the domain and its IP at DNS and proxy level and add it to wallet and browser protection lists. Tell your community to reach ANTS Colony only through its verified official channels.
