PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

alphapgim.online is an impersonation phishing site. It presented itself under the bare page title "Alphapgim." and copied the look of a legitimate service to win the trust of crypto users. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-08-19. The site has been offline since 2026-09-27, and at our last check on 2026-10-19 its DNS no longer resolved.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages borrow the branding, layout and tone of a service people already trust, so a visitor arriving from an ad, a direct message or a search result assumes they are on the real thing. The page then asks for something valuable, such as an account login, a recovery phrase, a deposit or a wallet connection. Whatever is entered goes straight to the operators. The "Alphapgim." title is a short, invented-looking name that sits close to a real brand without matching it exactly, a common way to slip past a quick glance. Victims typically lose account access, the funds behind that account, or control of a wallet.

Evidence

On 2026-08-30, 14 of 91 VirusTotal engines marked the domain as malicious. The flagging vendors included alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, Chong Lua Dao, CyRadar, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet and G-Data. That spread of independent commercial and community engines points to a real threat rather than a single false positive. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL under the spam category, and it appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses alongside our own blocklist entry.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-03-26 through Global Domain Group LLC, roughly five months before we caught it. That gap suggests the domain was either aged on purpose or used quietly before drawing attention. It was hosted on the NEW DHAKA HARDWARE network in the United States. The site carried a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser said nothing about whether the operators could be trusted.

What to do

If you typed a password on this site, change it on the real service and on any account that reuses it, then turn on app-based two-factor authentication. If you entered a recovery phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and move the remaining funds to a newly created wallet right away. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, review and revoke token approvals with a reputable approval checker. If you sent money, report it to the service being imitated and to local law enforcement. Defenders should block the domain and its hosting IP, and search mail and proxy logs from 2026-08-19 onward for users who reached it.
