The domain name points to an "AI bot mining" lure, the kind of pitch used to draw in people hoping for automated crypto income. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-09-29. The site is now dead: its DNS stopped resolving, it has been offline since 2026-10-16, and it was still down at the last check on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
The page carried the title "Attention Required! | Cloudflare", the wording of Cloudflare's familiar block and challenge screen. Fake security checks like this rely on the trust people place in that screen. Visitors are told they must verify themselves before continuing, and that step is where the theft happens. Depending on the variant, the victim is pushed to enter login details, connect an account, or copy and run a command that installs malware. The genuine Cloudflare page title matches what we classified as impersonation, so the title alone does not separate this site from a real Cloudflare screen.
Evidence
On 2026-10-01, 14 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. Vendors including ADMINUSLabs, alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CyRadar, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet and G-Data reached that verdict independently, so the detection does not rest on a single vendor's judgment. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses. Among blocklists, PhishDestroy is the only one listing it.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Gname.com Pte. Ltd. on 2025-09-19, about a year before it came to our attention. That long gap suggests it may have been held in reserve before being used for this campaign. It sat behind Cloudflare's network, with an address geolocated to Canada. Because the operator's real origin server is hidden behind Cloudflare, the page could carry Cloudflare branding while being served through Cloudflare itself.
What to do
Cloudflare checks never ask you to paste commands into a terminal or the Windows Run box, and they never ask for account passwords. If you ran anything this page suggested, disconnect the device, run a full malware scan, and change passwords from a separate clean device. Treat any crypto exchange or wallet logins used on that machine as exposed. If you typed credentials into the page, change those passwords, enable app-based 2FA, and review recent account activity. Defenders should block the domain, search proxy and DNS logs for visits since 2026-09-29, and check endpoints that reached it for unusual command execution.
