PhishDestroy threat report
xtface.com is an impersonation phishing page built to pass as XT.com, the cryptocurrency exchange. It copies the exchange's own page title, "Crypto Exchange | Bitcoin Exchange | Buy/Sell Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Altcoins | XT.com", so it looks legitimate in a browser tab or search result. The targets are XT.com customers and anyone searching for the exchange. PhishDestroy first flagged the domain on 2026-09-19. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and redirecting visitors.
The domain pairs the exchange's "xt" prefix with a generic word, a common trick for addresses that look official at a glance. Exchange impersonation pages usually present a cloned login screen. Whatever the victim types, including email, password and one-time 2FA codes, goes to the operators, who can then log in to the real account, change security settings and withdraw the balance. Some variants also show fake deposit addresses, so money sent there goes straight to the scammers.
Six of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-29: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and VIPRE. That count is modest, so many security tools would still let the page load without warning. Stronger signals come from crypto-specific defenses. MetaMask and the SEAL blocklist both list the domain alongside PhishDestroy, and it appears in three AlienVault OTX threat pulses.
The domain was registered through NameCheap, Inc. on 2025-10-29, almost eleven months before it was detected. That gap suggests it was held in reserve or used quietly before being exposed. The site runs on Amazon infrastructure in Singapore. Its Sectigo domain-validated certificate gives it a browser padlock, but that only confirms control of the domain, not any link to XT.com.
If you entered XT.com credentials on this site, sign in to the real exchange from a bookmark or the official app right away. Change your password, reset 2FA and check for API keys, new withdrawal whitelist addresses or login sessions you don't recognize. Contact XT.com support if funds have moved, and change the password anywhere else you reused it. Never send deposits to an address shown on this domain. Security teams should block xtface.com and watch for similar look-alikes that pair "xt" with generic words.

This report combines saved page captures, registration and network records, scanner results and PhishDestroy reporting history. Each source keeps its own observation date. Open a source report to inspect the original result.
