PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

PhishDestroy’s intake AI assessment observed on 2026-10-23 that the site impersonates the OKX exchange by using its name and branding on a domain that does not belong to the official service. The domain was first seen by PhishDestroy on 2026-10-23 and returned HTTP 200 with the recorded title “欧易 · okx · 欧易交易所”.

How the scam works

Fake‑exchange phishing pages copy the visual design and terminology of legitimate crypto platforms to lure visitors into creating accounts or downloading counterfeit applications. Victims are prompted to enter login credentials, two‑factor codes or personal data, which attackers can then use to access real accounts or conduct fraudulent transactions. Some variants also request deposits to fraudulent wallets, enabling direct theft of funds.

Evidence

Google Safe Browsing flagged the URL for social‑engineering on 2026-10-23. URLScan’s automated analysis on the same day gave a malicious verdict with a score of 100, categorising it as phishing and identifying the OKX brand. VirusTotal scanned the domain on 2026-10-23 with 92 engines and reported zero detections and zero suspicious findings. External blocklists MetaMask and SEAL listed the domain, and PhishDestroy’s internal blocklist also contains it; Spamhaus DBL and OTX reported no entries.

Infrastructure

The recorded IP was 82.41.66.136, belonging to the network OWGELS INTERNATIONAL CO., LIMITED in Hong Kong. The observed TLS certificate was issued by Let’s Encrypt / YR1, valid from 2026-10-22 to 2027-01-20, and used TLS 1.3 with AES‑256‑GCM.
