How the scam works
Rewards-themed impersonation pages promise an airdrop, points payout or bonus. To collect it, visitors are asked to connect a wallet, sign a transaction or message, or enter login details or a recovery phrase. The signature or secret hands control of funds or the account to the operator, and the "reward" never arrives. The page title currently shows "Just a moment...", a generic challenge screen, rather than branded content, while our classification is impersonation phishing.
Evidence
Six of 92 VirusTotal engines flag the domain as of 2026-10-11: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is a modest count, but the stronger signal comes from crypto-specific blocklists. Both MetaMask and SEAL list the domain alongside PhishDestroy, and Spamhaus classifies it as DBL_PHISH. Two AlienVault OTX pulses also reference it, so other researchers are tracking it independently.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-09-27 through NICENIC INTERNATIONAL GROUP CO., LIMITED. It was caught ten days later, which fits the pattern of throwaway domains set up for a short campaign. Traffic runs through Cloudflare, Inc., with the address geolocated to Canada, so the origin server's real location is hidden. What to do
