rockegx.exchange poses as RocketX Exchange, a legitimate multi-chain swap and bridge aggregator, to lure users seeking to trade across blockchains. The site presents itself as a full-featured platform supporting swaps and bridging across more than 200 chains, mirroring the real service's branding closely enough to deceive casual visitors. PhishDestroy first identified it on 2026-09-19, and as of 2026-10-18 the site remains live and actively serving malicious content.

How the scam works

The site replicates the RocketX Exchange interface, inviting users to connect their crypto wallets to initiate swaps or bridge transactions. Once a wallet is connected, the underlying drainer kit requests broad token approvals or triggers a malicious transaction that transfers the victim's assets to an attacker-controlled address. Because the interface looks functional and familiar, victims often approve the transaction believing it is a routine swap, only to find their tokens gone. The entire theft can occur in a single confirmation click.

VirusTotal returned 12 detections from 91 scanning engines as of 2026-09-29, with flagging vendors including BitDefender, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, CyRadar, and Ermes.
