fixedfloat-eu.org is an impersonation phishing page that copies FixedFloat, a popular instant cryptocurrency exchange, under the title "FixedFloat | Exchange". The "-eu" suffix suggests a regional mirror, which helps the fake pass as legitimate to people searching for a swap service. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-10, and it was still online and serving content when checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Fake exchange pages reproduce the real swap form: the visitor picks a coin pair, enters an amount and a payout address, and is shown a deposit address. That address belongs to the operators, so coins sent to "complete the exchange" are simply taken and nothing comes back. Because FixedFloat users expect to send funds first and receive the converted coins afterwards, the theft looks like a normal swap until the payout never arrives. On-chain transfers cannot be reversed, so the loss is usually final.

Evidence

On 2026-10-16, 9 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, among them BitDefender, Kaspersky, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, CRDF and alphaMountain.ai. Wallet-focused blocklists agree: MetaMask and SEAL list it alongside PhishDestroy, so many wallet users will see a warning before they interact. Spamhaus carries it on its domain blocklist as spam, and four AlienVault OTX pulses reference it.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-10-08 through Hosting Concepts B.V. (Registrar.eu) and was caught two days later. That fast turnaround is typical of short-lived phishing domains that are set up and pushed to victims right away. The site runs on a German-located IP in the network of Omegatech LTD, a Seychelles-registered provider. Its Let's Encrypt certificate only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about who runs the site.

What to do

Do not send any coins through this site. If you already made a deposit, save the transaction hash and the deposit address shown to you, report them to the exchange or wallet the funds came from, and file a report with local cybercrime authorities. Ignore anyone who contacts you offering to recover the coins, since recovery offers are a common follow-up scam. Reach FixedFloat only by typing its official address yourself or using a saved bookmark. Security teams should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and warn users who trade crypto about "-eu" lookalike exchange domains.
