PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

endpoint.binancepay.dot2.ws is a phishing page that impersonates Binance, using a hostname built to look like a Binance Pay payment endpoint. It targets Binance account holders and people who receive crypto checkout or invoice links. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-25. The site was still online and serving content on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

The hostname strings together "endpoint" and "binancepay" so that a quick look suggests official Binance payment infrastructure, even though the real domain is dot2.ws. Pages like this are usually reached through a payment request or checkout link. The victim is then asked to sign in with exchange credentials or to send crypto to finish a supposed payment. Typed credentials and 2FA codes go to the operators, and any funds sent are gone. The page title reads "CoinPayments," a different payment brand, while the hostname and our classification point to Binance.

Evidence

Six of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the address as of 2026-10-03: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar, URLQuery and Webroot. That is a low count, so many security products will still let the page load. Coverage on wallet-facing blocklists is stronger. MetaMask, SEAL and PhishFeed list it alongside PhishDestroy, which means users of those wallets and integrations should see a warning.

Infrastructure

The parent domain dot2.ws was registered through GoDaddy.com on 2016-06-09, roughly ten years before this subdomain turned up as phishing. Older domains like this can avoid the suspicion that newly registered domains attract. The site runs on Amazon.com, Inc. infrastructure in the US and uses a Let's Encrypt certificate. The padlock shown in the browser only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about who runs the site.

What to do

If you entered Binance credentials here, change your password right away from the official Binance app. Reset your 2FA, end all active sessions, and delete any API keys you did not create. If you sent crypto to complete a "payment," record the transaction ID and report it to Binance support through the app, because blockchain transfers cannot be reversed. Treat any follow-up message asking for fees or verification to "recover" funds as a second scam. Defenders should block the full hostname and the parent domain dot2.ws, and they should search mail and chat logs for checkout links pointing to it.
