PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

bni-binance.com.cn is a phishing domain that impersonates Binance. It places the exchange's name behind a short "bni-" prefix under China's .com.cn zone, so Chinese-speaking Binance customers may take it for a regional or official login address. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-09. The site was still online and serving content when last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Binance impersonation pages copy the exchange's look closely enough that visitors hand over their email, password and one-time 2FA codes. Operators can then log into the real account and move funds out before the owner notices. Some variants also ask for wallet connections or recovery phrases. The page title currently reads "恭喜，站点创建成功！" ("Congratulations, site created successfully!"), a default hosting-panel placeholder, while we classify the domain as Binance impersonation phishing.

Evidence

On 2026-10-13, VirusTotal showed 10 of 92 engines flagging the domain. The vendors included alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft and Kaspersky. That is a modest share of engines, but the vendors are unrelated to one another and reached the same verdict. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL under the phishing category, and both MetaMask and SEAL block it alongside PhishDestroy. Four AlienVault OTX threat pulses also reference it, so other researchers have tracked it independently.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-10-05 through 成都西维数码科技有限公司, a Chengdu-based registrar, and PhishDestroy caught it four days later. That short gap is typical of throwaway domains set up for a single campaign. Although the name targets a Chinese audience, it resolves to 45.87.43.62 on the SpectraIP B.V. network in the Netherlands.

What to do

If you entered Binance credentials on this domain, change your Binance password from the official app right away. Reset your 2FA and review active sessions and devices. Delete any API keys you did not create, and turn on withdrawal address whitelisting and an anti-phishing code. If you typed a seed phrase into the site, treat that wallet as compromised and move the funds to a new wallet. Defenders should block bni-binance.com.cn at DNS and the email gateway, and watch for other Binance-themed lookalikes registered under .com.cn.
