PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

bkboutique.shop is a fake online store that copies Brooklyn Bedding, the American mattress maker, and presents itself as "Award-Winning Mattresses | Factory-Direct Pricing | Brooklyn Bedding." It targets shoppers looking for a discounted mattress who don't notice that the domain has nothing to do with the real brand. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-16. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its storefront.

How the scam works

Shops like this borrow a real brand's name, product photos and "factory-direct" pitch, then undercut the genuine price enough to rush buyers into checking out. A mattress is a large purchase, so a single order can mean a significant loss. The buyer pays and gets either nothing, a stalled tracking number or a cheap substitute. Card details and home addresses typed into the checkout are also exposed to whoever runs the site.

Evidence

Six of 92 VirusTotal engines flag the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue and Netcraft. That count is low, but it is typical for a young shop domain and is backed by other sources. urlscan.io rates the page malicious and specifically marks it as a fake shop. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as spam, and it appears in three AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so several researchers have tracked it independently.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-06-06, about four months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests it was set up in advance and possibly aged before going live. It is hosted on the Malakmadze Web LLC network in the US. The free Let's Encrypt certificate gives the site a browser padlock, which proves nothing about whether the shop is legitimate.

What to do

If you ordered from bkboutique.shop, contact your card issuer or bank now, report the charge as fraud and ask for a chargeback. Ask whether the card should be replaced. Watch your statements for unfamiliar charges, and be wary of follow-up emails or calls about "delivery problems" that ask for more money. To buy from Brooklyn Bedding, go to the company's official site directly rather than following ads or search results. Defenders and payment teams should block the domain, flag merchant transactions tied to it, and report it to the brand and the registrar.
