How the scam works

The page title, 币安官网 - 币安交易所 | 币安入口、加密货币市场币安官网, translates roughly to "Binance official site - Binance exchange | Binance entry, crypto market Binance official site." It is stuffed with the phrases people type into search engines when looking for a way into Binance. The "-og" in the domain suggests an original or legitimate gateway. Sites like this typically show a copy of the exchange's interface to collect login emails, passwords and one-time 2FA codes, then use them to take over real accounts. Some also push victims to deposit funds into an account that only exists on the fake site.

Evidence

On 2026-10-08, 14 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Google Safe Browsing and Gridinsoft. Google Safe Browsing lists it under SOCIAL_ENGINEERING, which means deceptive phishing content. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and detected Binance branding on the page. The domain is on the PhishDestroy blocklist and appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through GoDaddy.com, LLC on 2025-10-21, nearly a year before PhishDestroy detected it. That long gap means the operators either held it in reserve or ran it unnoticed for months. It resolves to 184.168.121.194 on GoDaddy's network (AS26496), with the hosting location given as Singapore. Its Let's Encrypt certificate makes the padlock appear, but that does not mean the site belongs to Binance.
