How the scam works
The page uses Baronfig's real store title, "Tools for Thinkers - Journals, Pens, Objects | Baronfig", so it looks legitimate in browser tabs and search results. Fake shops like this usually lure buyers with discounted prices and then send them to a checkout form. Victims typically lose the money they pay, because the goods never arrive or are cheap substitutes. Their card numbers, names, addresses and contact details are also captured and can be reused for fraud or follow-up phishing.

On 2026-10-19, VirusTotal showed 9 of 92 engines flagging the domain, including alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue, Netcraft and SOCRadar. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and specifically flagged the site as a fake shop.
