batikstore.shop is a fraudulent storefront that presents itself under the name BATIK, with a page title reading "BATIK - AE | BATIK". It targets online shoppers looking for batik goods. PhishDestroy first saw the site on 2026-10-11 and classifies it as an E-Commerce Scam. As of 2026-10-19 the shop was still online and serving its catalogue, so anyone browsing it today is looking at a live trap.
How the scam works
Fake shops copy the look of a real retailer, list products at tempting prices and push visitors through a normal-looking checkout. The victim pays, then receives nothing, a cheap item unlike the one advertised, or excuses until the refund window has passed. Card numbers, names, addresses and phone numbers entered at checkout end up with the operators and can be reused for further fraud. The BATIK branding helps the site blend in with legitimate sellers that show up in search and social ads.
Evidence
On 2026-10-16, 7 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue and SOCRadar. That is a modest count, but it comes from several unrelated vendors, which makes a false positive unlikely. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and specifically identified the page as a fake shop. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses and on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-04-18, almost six months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests the shop was built in advance or ran quietly before it drew attention. The site is hosted in the United States on the Malakmadze Web LLC network at 195.96.131.106. It uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser shows only that the connection is encrypted. It does not show that the store is genuine.
What to do
If you placed an order, contact your bank or card issuer now, report the charge as fraud and ask for a chargeback. Request a replacement card if you entered card details. If you paid by bank transfer or cryptocurrency, report it to your bank or the exchange you sent from and file a report with your national fraud authority. Expect phishing emails, texts or calls that use the name and address you gave at checkout, and do not pay any delivery or customs fees the operators ask for later.
