The domain name points to American Girl, while the page itself is branded as Crumbl merch. PhishDestroy first flagged the site on 2026-10-01, and it was still online and serving its shop content on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Fake shops like this copy a brand's look and product catalogue, then pull buyers in with steep discounts or "limited" merch drops. The victim adds items to the cart and pays at checkout by card or another payment method. The usual outcome is that nothing arrives, or a cheap item unrelated to the order turns up. The card number, billing address and contact details entered at checkout also end up with the operators, who can reuse them for further fraud.
Evidence
On 2026-10-01, ten of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. The vendors included alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky and LevelBlue, which is a solid spread of independent security vendors for a shop that is only weeks old. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and specifically identified the page as a fake shop. The domain also appears in two AlienVault OTX threat pulses and on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-08-21 through TuringSign Inc. d/b/a Cosmotown, about six weeks before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap between registration and active selling is typical of disposable scam storefronts that are launched quickly and later abandoned. The site is hosted on a server in Georgia (GE). Its Let's Encrypt certificate means the padlock in the browser proves only an encrypted connection, not that the store is genuine.
What to do
If you ordered from this site, contact your card issuer or payment provider now, report the charge as fraud and ask for a chargeback. Request a replacement card if you entered card details. Watch your statements for unfamiliar charges, and treat follow-up emails about "delivery problems" or refunds as likely phishing. Buy Crumbl merchandise only through the brand's own verified channels. Defenders should block the domain, add it to web filters, and report it to the registrar and hosting provider for takedown.
