How the scam works
Fake shops like this borrow a well-known supplier's name and catalogue, then list items at prices that look like a good deal. Precious metals and specialty tools are expensive, which makes those discounts tempting. The buyer gets through a convincing checkout and pays, but the goods either never arrive or are nothing like what was ordered. Victims lose the money they paid, and the card details, billing address and contact information entered at checkout can be reused for fraud or follow-up scams.
Evidence
On 2026-10-06, 10 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, CyRadar, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data and Gridinsoft. Ten engines is a minority, but they come from separate vendors with different detection methods. urlscan.io rated the site malicious and specifically tagged it as a fake shop. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as spam. It also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have reported it independently.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-08-21 through TuringSign Inc. d/b/a Cosmotown, 42 days before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap fits a short-lived storefront set up to catch shoppers before it gets blocked. The site runs on IP 162.222.90.162 on the Malakmadze Web LLC network in Georgia, far from the American supplier it imitates.
