amarist.shop is an E-Commerce Scam: a fake online shop presenting itself as "Casa Amar" under the Italian title "Tappeti Berberi e Marocchini Fatti a Mano" (handmade Berber and Moroccan rugs). The Italian storefront points to shoppers in Italy or Italian-speaking buyers looking for artisan carpets. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-01. On 2026-10-19 the domain still responded, but DNS for its shop content was inactive.
How the scam works
Shops like this sell high-ticket, hard-to-price goods. Handmade rugs normally cost a lot, so a heavy "discount" looks believable rather than suspicious. The buyer pays at checkout and receives nothing, or receives a cheap item unrelated to the listing. Return and refund requests go unanswered. Victims lose the purchase amount and also hand over their name, address, phone number and payment card details, which can be reused for further fraud.
Evidence
urlscan.io rated the site malicious and specifically flagged it as a fake shop, which matches our classification. On VirusTotal, 6 of 91 engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-03: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and URLQuery. That count is modest, so many browsers and security tools will not warn visitors. The domain also appears in 2 AlienVault OTX threat pulses and is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-07-26, about two months before we detected it. That gap is typical of storefronts that are built, stocked with listings and promoted before reports start coming in.
