It targets founders, marketers and small-business owners looking for a cheap copy of a popular business book. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-09. When last checked on 2026-10-19, the domain still resolved, but its shop pages no longer loaded.
How the scam works
The page title, "$100M Offers by Alex Hormozi | Acquisition", is meant to make visitors think they have found an official or discounted source for the book. Fake shops like this collect card or other payment details at checkout, then ship nothing or something worthless. Victims lose the purchase price. They also hand over their name, address, email and card data, which can be reused for fraud or follow-up phishing.
Evidence
urlscan.io rated the site malicious and specifically marked it as a fake shop, which directly supports our classification. On VirusTotal, 6 of 89 engines flagged it as of 2026-09-20: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is a modest count, so many browsers and filters may still let it through. The domain appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, and PhishDestroy is currently the only blocklist carrying it.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-06-08 through Dynadot Inc., about three months before we detected it. A gap like that is consistent with a storefront set up in advance and kept quiet before promotion. The site is hosted on Malakmadze Web LLC's network in Georgia. It uses an automatically issued Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the shop is legitimate.
What to do
If you paid on acqmark.shop, contact your bank or card issuer now to dispute the charge as non-delivery fraud and ask them to reissue the card. Keep any order confirmation emails as evidence. Watch for emails posing as shipping updates, refund offers or Hormozi-branded promotions, because your contact details are now in the scammers' hands. Buy the book only through established retailers or the author's official channels. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and add it to e-commerce fraud filters.
